About Us

Always striving to make Five Ponds Golf Club the best it can be.

ABOUT US    |    OUR TEAM    |    CONTACT US    |    WARMINSTER

Owned by Warminster Township (PA) and managed by Spirit Golf Management, Five Ponds Golf Club is a shining example of how a public/private partnership can result in a profitable and growing enterprise which contributes to community. Five Ponds Golf Club operations are fully supported by the Township.

Over the past year, once we reopened the range from a COVID shutdown we offered to add range credit to each individual based on the package(s) they bought. They then bought an e-range key which promoted touchless transactions in the future and earned 25% more buckets (i.e. $100 purchase received $125 in range credit)

Five Ponds also increased its junior programs by double in the past 4 years. They have had many more parent-junior events to even engage the non-golfer siblings in the family to come play golf, practice and rate the hot dogs. They also promote reunion events, for example a GGR (Get Golf Ready) class will have a tee time booked for every clinic participant two weeks after the clinic ends to get them back to facility and playing golf.

Kurt Jensen

Kurt Jensen

Golf Course Superintendent

Kurt is the golf course superintendent at Five Ponds Golf Club.  Kurt grew up on a dairy farm in upstate New York.  After a short stint as a software developer Kurt realized being behind a desk was not his true calling.  Kurt’s love for sports, being outside and the change of the seasons pushed him toward a degree in turf maintenance.

Kurt started his turf maintenance career at Copake Country Club concurrently while attending SUNY Cobleskill.  After getting his turf degree 2004, he spent one year at the Neuse Golf Club in Clayton, NC.  With the urge to be closer to home Kurt moved to Bucks county and accepted the second assistant superintendent position at Trenton Country Club.  Wanting to advance his career as quickly as possible he worked as an assistant or first assistant at several private country clubs in the Delaware Valley.  The list includes Manufacturers’ Golf and Country Club, Squires Golf Club, Overbrook Golf Club and Huntingdon Valley Country Club.  Kurt gained knowledge and philosophies from these well-established and successful superintendents.  Kurt has molded all this knowledge and brought his own philosophy of turf maintenance to Five Ponds in 2016.

In the short period of time Kurt has been at Five Ponds he has looked to improve the overall experience for the golfer.  Cleaning the naturalize areas and removing dead and dying trees has been the priority.  Removing unwanted trees has not just improved the aesthetics of the property it also improved the overall health and quality of the turf.  Kurt’s goal every season is to have some of the best putting greens in the area.  Having “Private Club” greens at a public golf course.  Kurt continues to work on projects in the off season to improve playing conditions and the look of the property.

Kurt and his wife Courtney have two enthusiastic kids, Jackson and Samantha.  Kurt is active in the community helping with the Upper Moreland Little League and Basketball Club.
